(Baltimore, MD) May 5, 2008 - The Washington Home and Community Hospices has joined the Jewish Hospice Network, a program of Jewish Family Services (JFS) in Baltimore, announced Barbara Gradet, Executive Director of JFS and Jewish Community Services. "We are delighted to welcome the Washington Home and Community Hospices to our strong network of caring and committed hospice providers," said Gradet. The other partners in the Jewish Hospice Network are Heartland Hospice Services, Gilchrist Hospice Care, and Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Maryland.

The Washington Home and Community Hospices (formerly The Washington Home) provides hospice services to patients in its inpatient unit, as well as in patients' homes, other nursing homes and long-term care facilities, and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Community Hospices serves residents of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.
