The Washington Post recently honored volunteers at The Washington Home & Community Hospices, by featuring them in an article discussing the priceless role which volunteers serve.  National Volunteer Week prompted seven thousand volunteers to help out at various facilities in the greater Washington DC area, including The Washington Home & Community Hospices.  Volunteers fulfill a great purpose at our community by helping out in many ways, including spending time with the residents.  Such service is both invaluable to both the staff at The Washington Home as well to the community at-large.  There are many ways to give to the community either by a monetary donation or through volunteering at the facility.
