The on-going generosity of compassionate men and women, like you, helps us continue our legacy of caring for those who are coping with terminal illnesses regardless of whether they can pay for our services.

We're a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that includes Community Hospice of Maryland, Community Hospice of Washington, DC and Williams House our Inpatient Hospice Unit.

Your many types of giving kindly support our work: money; stocks; memorials and tributes honoring caregivers, loved ones and friends; in-kind gifts; and planned giving.

You may want to participate in one of our special events or donate your time as a volunteer. We appreciate however you’re able to help us serve people who need care in the final stages of their lives.

Donations help:

  • offset the cost of caring for terminally ill patients who can't pay for the services they receive

  • purchase and maintain medical equipment for Williams House, our inpatient hospice unit

  • provide free grief counseling services to patients, family members, and anyone coming to terms with the death of a loved one

  • provide free homecare aides—through our Hospice Caregivers Relief Program — to our patients and whose caregivers must work or are elderly and frail.
